Delta robots are used wherever high speed, precision, and reliability are required. They are particularly well-suited for pick and place, sorting, packaging, and handling tasks involving small to medium-sized products.
SEW-EURODRIVE’s Delta robots are available with DuPod and tripod kinematics and, depending on the design, offer two to five degrees of freedom. While DuPod kinematics feature two parallel arms, tripod systems use three arms. Depending on the design, various combinations of translational and rotational degrees of freedom are available.
Translational degrees of freedom enable positioning within the work envelope. Rotational degrees of freedom expand the range of motion to include rotational movements and allow for the precise alignment of a product or tool.
All Delta robots are compatible with MOVIKIT® Robotics, ensuring fast startup, simple parameterization, and efficient open-loop control. Selected models are also available in a hygienic design and are engineered for use in sensitive production environments.
